Ae Rah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo,
As a writer, writing books is also my profession. Most of my books are
about homeland defense and its concerns. I have paid tribute to the ghazis and
martyrs of Pakistan Army in many of my novels, but the agony I went through
while writing the novel on Siachen, I wish I had the words to convey it to you.
I have written every book till date with pen and ink but this book Ae
Rah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo is written with my blood. I have written every book till
date with pen and ink but this book Ae Rah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo is written with my
blood.
Ae Rah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo describe the lives of veterans who have been
walking for the last fourteen years at an altitude of sixteen to twenty-two
hundred feet and minus thirty to fifty degrees Celsius bone-chilling cold,
twenty to seventy miles hourly blizzard, sharper than a sword's edge, on
jagged, rocky heights, the army defends the homeland. It is a place where blind ice caves wait for them
with open mouths at every step, where the common man cannot breathe properly
due to lack of oxygen.
These mujahids are not made of steel, they are ordinary human beings.
Sometimes the people of the army will mention these Mujahideen to each other the stories of those who rose to martyrdom in this
path of love. But I feel guilty thinking that as a nation, did we pay the right
tribute for their sacrifices?
In Ae Rah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo, my liver used to burst while mentioning the
martyrs of this place. But I am thankful to God a million times who’s will
included to write all this. If my writing shows the way to a lost Pakistani and
if my tribute is accepted by the martyrs of Siachen, then I will feel that I
have fulfilled my purpose.
