Maulana Muhammad Shafi has written an excellent book on the biography of Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ. In which every bright aspect of the Prophet ﷺ has been highlighted. One of the smoothest and most understandable biographies ever written.

 

Mufti Azam Hazrat Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi Sahib was born on January 1897 in Deoband. Your grandfather gave the name Muhammad Mubeen, but when Hazrat Gangohi (may Allah have mercy on him) came to know, he (may Allah have mercy on him) suggested the name Muhammad Shafi. His lineage is traced back to Hazrat Uthman Ghani (RA). His father, Majid Maulana Muhammad Yasin Sahib Osmani, was a teacher of Persian in Deoband, may Allah have mercy on him.

 

He used to say that: "We have seen the time of Darul Uloom in which from the president of the madrasas to the lower madrasas and from the nobles to the janitor and chapadasi, all of them were elders and saints of Allah." During that time, Darul Uloom was known as Darul Uloom during the day and as a monastery during the night.
