You were the grandson of Shah Waliullah Muhaddith Dehlavi, as if he belonged to the family that was the source of knowledge and grace.

 

So education started at home. He had memorized the Holy Quran at the age of eight. At the age of ten years, the father's shadow rose from his head, then Fazil and the elderly uncle Shah Abdul Qadir Dehlavi embraced him in love. He got religious knowledge from them. Graduated at the age of 15-16. From the beginning, he was very intelligent, quick-witted and good-natured. His intelligence was brilliant. You had special interest in history and geography.

 

Shah Sahib was also very fond of martial arts. A lot of horse-riding was practiced, weaving, harnessing, swimming, which were considered below the level of scholars even at that time. He learned with hard work and passion. He developed so much ability to shoot that even small birds could be shot down with a bullet.

 

In an unconscious state, Shah Sahib was preparing himself for a movement that was going to demand both mental and physical abilities from him. He did not know why, being born in a family of scholars, he was fond of soldiering and why labor was dearer than rest. But he was busy preparing for what his conscience demanded of him. He was to become the heart and mind of a great religious movement.

 

During this time he traveled to Punjab. Tales of Sikh atrocities were pouring in from Punjab. There, a brutal group of Sikhs had dominated the Muslim majority, which had heated up the market for looting and oppression. Shah Sahib Bachsham himself wanted to examine the situations in which it becomes necessary to take up the sword of Jihad to help the oppressed Muslim men, women and children.
