Hayat-ul-Sahaba, Muhammad Yousuf Kandhalvi, Biography, حیاۃ الصحابہ, محمد یوسف کاندھلوی, سوانح
A Sahabi is a
person who met the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) during
the restoration of faith and died on Islam, even though apostasy occurred in
between.
The word Sahabi
is singular, its plural is Sahaba. The term Sahabi is used for the masculine,
while the word Sahabiyyah is used for the feminine singular, and the word
Sahabiyyat is used for the plural.
The original
meaning of Sahabi is companion and friend; But this is a constant and important
term of Islam, the term Sahabi is applied to those people who have met the Holy
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the state of faith and
have left this world in the state of faith.
Abu Zareah Razi
says that at the time of his death, the number of people who saw him and heard
hadith from him was more than 100,000. In which both men and women were included
and each of them narrated.
Even if the
glory, greatness of the Companions and their divine choice are evaluated from a
rational and logical point of view, this matter reaches the basic proof that
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for his last Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be
upon him) as in the past. In terms of the best era, in terms of birth, the best
region of the world, and among the languages of the world, he chose the
language full of eloquence and eloquence.
