I call Baharat Toot Jai Ga to the young generation for whose destruction
every possible means is being created. But even in the worst situations,
Pakistan's hope remains with determination and courage.
History is a witness that from any major accident happening in a country,
its immediate neighboring countries are never safe. An example of this is the
intervention of Russian forces in Afghanistan in the recent past. Being a
neighboring country of Pakistan, when the flood of refugees came towards our
borders, Pakistan had to clash with the great superpower of the world, even
though it was not a direct conflict, but there is no conscious denial of this
fact. It could be that along with the Afghans, we were also fighting against
Russia and Pakistan paid a heavy price for it, but it would not be out of place
to say that it is still paying the price.
Similarly, when the Sikh rebellion took place in the Indian province of
Punjab and the Indian forces started an attack on Darbar Sahib, the holy place
of the Sikhs, the Sikhs fled to Pakistan to save their lives and at this stage,
if any of the parties made a slight mistake. So an endless war would have
started in the subcontinent.
And this is not uncommon. Pakistan's security is a bitter truth that Indian
rulers have to swallow unwillingly. They know that in this way Pakistan also
does not want India to be dismembered and instead of India, they want to carry
the policeman's baton. Because at some level in both the countries, there has
always been the thought that we should sit together and solve our problems so
that millions of poor, backward and unfortunate people of the subcontinent can
also breathe. We are not dependent on foreign powers as in the past. Instead of
being part of a campaign, share each other's pain. Many rulers of India,
including the current Prime Minister Atal Bihari Wajpai, often say that a
strong and secure Pakistan is the guarantee of India's survival.
